Ponting enjoyed his/her poor form, Virat scored only 2 Test centuries in 5 years…

Dubai. Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli has been struggling to play big innings for some time now. Great Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting believes that India’s champion batsman Virat Kohli should not be assessed on the basis of his/her current form. he/she can make a strong comeback in the 5 test match Border Gavaskar Trophy series. However, he/she did not miss out on having fun with his/her poor form and said that only 2 Tests have been scored by the top order batsman of any team in 5 years. This series between India and Australia will start from November 22 in Perth.

The Indian team was recently defeated 3-0 by New Zealand in the three-Test series. Kohli could score only 93 runs in six innings. Former Australia captain Ponting told ICC, “I have spoken about Virat before also. You can’t point fingers at great players. There is no doubt that he/she is a great cricketer. he/she likes playing against Australia. his/her record in Australia is also excellent. he/she can change everything in this series. I would not be surprised if Virat starts scoring runs from the very first match.

Virat has scored runs at an average of 22.72 in six Tests since the beginning of this year, which is his/her lowest average since his/her debut in 2011. he/she has also fallen out of the top 20 in the ICC Test rankings for the first time in ten years. Ponting said, “I read a statistic about Virat.” It was said that in the last five years he/she scored only two (three) Test centuries. This does not seem right but if it is then it is a matter of concern. There will be no top level international cricketer in the world who has scored only two Test centuries in five years.
