Poland started following the path of America, changed the visa policy for Indian workers!

Poland Work Visa: Poland is very popular among Indians for job and studies. This European country has announced changes in its visa rules for 2025. The thing to note here is that the changes have been announced by Poland at a time when America has also made changes in its popular visa program H-1B visa. In many countries of the world, big steps are being taken towards simplifying the immigration policy for skilled professionals.

The most important change made by Poland is the mandatory employment contract for foreign workers. Under the new rules, employees can no longer work in companies under civil law contracts. This will give them greater job security and protection under Polish labor laws. The move is part of Poland’s efforts to create a transparent and regulated labor market. Poland wants that foreign workers coming here should not face any kind of exploitation.

Work permit fees increased

Under visa changes made by the Polish government, work permit fees will be adjusted in line with the minimum wage. Under the proposed fees, 80 Euros will have to be paid for National Visa (Type D) and 40 Euros for Temporary Residence Permit. Due to this, workers applying for employment related visa will now have to pay higher fees. The purpose of this change is to better align the visa system with Poland’s economic situation.

Demand for skilled workers is increasing in Poland

Poland is also working on a new legislative draft aimed at simplifying visas and residence permits. This draft has a provision for better monitoring of foreign employees and punishment for not following the rules. Its purpose is to improve efficiency and prevent people coming in illegally. Currently, the demand for skilled professionals is continuously increasing in Poland. Especially the demand is high in IT, healthcare, engineering and skill trade and transportation.

This demand is expected to create more employment opportunities for foreign workers in the country. With this, Poland is going to become the best destination for global talent. Through the new visa, Poland wants to make itself a hub of skilled labour. Due to the stringent rules in the country, foreign workers are more benefited because it will be easier for them to stay in Poland for a long time. They will also have more opportunities because they have entered the country legally.

There is a demand for foreign workers in different sectors of Poland, to meet which it has introduced a new visa category.

  • National Visa (Type D): For employment exceeding 90 days.
