PM Modi will watch ‘The Sabarmati Report’, Vikrant Massey announces retirement

On one hand, Vikrant Massey has announced his/her retirement from the film industry for some time, while on the other hand, news is coming out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will watch the actor’s film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ on the evening of 2 December. Will attend the special screening. This is the same film, due to which Vikrant remained in controversies. Due to his/her statements, he/she received a lot of criticism and even threats. According to media reports, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ will be screened at 7 pm on December 2 in the Bal Yogi Auditorium of the Parliament House complex. PM Narendra Modi and Om Birla will also attend this screening.

The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ was released in theaters on 15 November 2024. It is based on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident. The incident had claimed the lives of 90 devotees and sparked large-scale communal riots across Gujarat.

The film stars Vikrant Massey, Raashi Khanna, Riddhi Dogra. This political drama movie has been written by Avinash and Arjun and is based on the story by Aseem Arora. The direction is by Ranjan Chandel, who was later replaced by Dheeraj Sarna. The film is jointly produced by Shobha and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Vikir Films Productions.

Film became tax free in many states

This film has been declared tax-free in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
