Highlighting India’s role in connecting the world by reducing the global conflicts that exist today, the Prime Minister said, “WTSA talks about empowering the entire world through consensus. PM Modi said the coming together of WTSA and IMC is inspiring, adding, “When local and vocal come together, the world benefits and that is our aim. India’s telecom journey became a subject of study for the whole world. In India, we made telecom not just a medium for connectivity but a medium for achieving equality and providing opportunities. This medium is helping to reduce the gap between poor and rich, village and city.”

PM Modi said that when the vision of Digital India was presented, it was said that we will lead with a holistic approach. he/she further said, “We have identified four pillars of Digital India – first, the cost of devices should be low, second digital connectivity should reach every corner, third data should be accessible to everyone, and fourth our digital-first There should be a goal. , We worked together on all four and got results. Mobiles could not have been cheap if we had not manufactured them in the country.”

Highlighting India’s achievements in mobile manufacturing, PM Modi said, “In 2014 there were only two mobile manufacturing units in India and today there are over 200. Earlier we used to import most of the phones from abroad, today we are manufacturing 6. Have been.” Many times more mobile phones in India than before. We are known as a mobile exporting country and we are not stopping here, now we are engaged in providing the world with completely Made-in-India phones from chips to finished products.
