PM Modi Met Jinping: Meeting between PM Modi and Jinping ends, know what issues were discussed

New Delhi: Prime Minister amid BRICS summit Narendra Modi Is having a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. During this, discussions took place on many issues between the two countries. This meeting is very special because PM Modi and Jinping have met after 4 years. This is the first bilateral meeting of the heads of state of the two countries after the eastern Ladakh border dispute came to light in May 2020.

Why is this meeting special?

This meeting between PM Modi and Chinese President Jinping is taking place at a time when India and China had agreed to an agreement to patrol the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh by their armies a day earlier. This is a major breakthrough towards ending the four-year-long deadlock.

Both neighbors together after a long time

In November 2022, PM Modi and Xi Jinping greeted each other at a dinner hosted by the President of Indonesia for G-20 leaders. However, bilateral talks did not take place at that time. Only a brief conversation took place between the two leaders. Last year also in August, the Indian Prime Minister and the Chinese President had met in Johannesburg during the BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) summit.
