The Government of India has extended the deadline for the PM Awas Yojana 2025 (PMAY) survey. Now, people who are eligible for this scheme can apply until April 30, 2025. This extension gives one more month to families who haven’t registered yet.
The PM Awas Yojana aims to provide pucca houses (permanent homes) to poor and needy families. So far, the details of over 41.5 lakh families have been entered into the Awas Plus App. Eligible people can also register on the app by themselves.
Survey Period Extended
Earlier, the survey deadline was March 31, 2025. Now it has been extended to April 30, 2025. This survey is being conducted under the PMAY-Gramin (Rural) scheme. During the survey, the details of eligible families are collected and verified.
Who Can Apply?
This scheme benefits families from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Lower Income Group (LIG). If a family does not own a pucca house anywhere in the country, they can apply. The goal is to provide a safe and stable home for every family in need.
How to Apply for PM Awas Yojana?
- Applications are accepted online through the central government’s official portal.
- All family members must have their Aadhaar card linked with a mobile number.
- Without the mobile link, OTP (One Time Password) will not be received, and the application will not be valid.

- The information provided during registration will be verified by municipal teams.
- If any incorrect information is found, the application will be rejected.
- After online submission, officials will visit the applicant’s location to check details.
Other Important Update: MGNREGA Wage Hike
Alongside PMAY, the government has also increased MGNREGA workers’ wages. Daily wages have been raised from ₹237 to ₹252. This decision will benefit over 1.10 crore job card holders. The hike was recommended by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya.
