According to airport sources, the incident took place on the night of September 2 at around 9:30 pm. When the plane was passing through Vasant Kunj area, some metal pieces from the body of the plane fell on the roof of a house located in the area. When the owner of the house saw the metal pieces falling from the sky, he/she immediately shared this information with the Delhi Police control room.

As soon as the Air Traffic Control (ATC) got the news of this, all the officers immediately came into action. They informed the pilot about this and gave instructions for precautionary landing and a safe landing was done. Let us tell you, all the passengers and crew members on board the plane are safe.

Was there a problem with the engine after take off?

Air India Express officials said that Flight IX 145 took off from Delhi on September 2. After takeoff, a problem was detected in the engine. After which the pilot followed the prescribed procedures and a precautionary landing was made at Delhi Airport.

Now the biggest question is whether the metal pieces found by the owner on the roof of a house in Vasant Kunj, a posh area of ​​Delhi, belong to Flight IX 145 or not. The airline said that they had received information about the metal pieces of their plane being found, at that time they were not in a position to confirm whether these pieces had fallen from their plane or not, but those pieces are still being investigated.

South-West District Police said that the investigation report of the plane is yet to come. They said that only after the report, it can be ascertained whether the fallen pieces were of the Air India Express plane or not.
