PhD Admission 2024: Application for IGNOU PhD entrance starts, IP University form also released

Finally, the process of admission for PhD in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started. The university has invited applications from students for 34 programs in regular mode. Admissions will be for July 2024 session and students can submit their applications online till November 20. You can apply online on IGNOU website ignou.ac.in.

IP University PhD: Admission through entrance, NET also

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IPU) has invited applications from students for PhD admission. Apart from IP University Entrance, for the winter session of 2024-25, UGC will also conduct admission on the basis of NET score. Some schools of IPU have decided that they will do admission on the basis of UGC NET score along with entrance.

Students can apply online (ipu.ac.in) till November 30 for about 37 PhD programs of 14 schools. The PhD entrance test of IP will be held on 22 December 2024. These are possible dates.

In the winter session, this University of Delhi Government will offer Information Technology, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), Automation and Robotics, Mechanical and Automation Engineering, Management, Chemical Admission will be done in PhD programs for Technology, Biotechnology, Environment Science, Medical Sciences, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Law and Legal Studies, Mass Communication, History, Education, Design.

IP University conducts its own entrance exams for PhD programmes. Admission will be based on the University’s PhD Entrance Test (PET) and interview. Students who qualify UGC NET/UGC CSIR NET/GATE/CEED and similar national level tests will be exempted from the entrance exam. Apart from this, admission will also be based on net score.

UGC had decided in April this year that PhD admissions can be done on the basis of NET score. For this, apart from NET teaching eligibility and NET JRF, a provision for PhD has also been made. Recently the result of NET (National Eligibility Test) has also come. The university has said that students should keep checking the website for every update.
