PGDM in IGNOU: Many diploma courses including fashion, mental health, agriculture started in IGNOU, know the fees

IGNOU PGDM Syllabus 2024: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started some new courses from July 2024 session. Apart from Post Graduate Diploma – Mental Health (PGDMH), the university has also launched a professional course in Fashion Designing, Agricultural Cost Management. The online registration process for IGNOU July 2024 session has started last month. Till June 30, students can apply online (ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in) for many courses of Bachelors, Post Graduate, PG Diploma, Diploma, Certificate.

IGNOU PG Diploma in Mental Health

IGNOU has launched a PG Diploma course in Mental Health, which will be run by the School of Social Sciences (SOSS). The course is designed to provide a strong foundation in the mental health field. Covering psychological issues, the course will prepare professionals in mental and physical healthcare to understand and help society with mental health issues in depth.

The course structure will cover mental health, its foundations, its special areas, various disorders. Also, internship is a part of it. Students who have a master’s degree in psychology or social work or nursing can apply for this course. Medical graduates i.e. medical graduates in allopathy, Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, homeopathy, yoga and naturopathy or BDS (Bachelors – Dental Surgery) passouts can also take admission in this course.

IGNOU PGDM Fees: What is the fee for this IGNOU course?

The medium of the course is English and its fee is 9 thousand rupees. The registration fee is 300 rupees. It will be taught in 13 study centers across the country. In Delhi, this course will be taught in Lady Harding Medical College and SSK Hospital. Admissions in this course will be done twice a year, July and January. The course is of one year.

Fashion and Agriculture Courses in IGNOU

Apart from this, IGNOU has also started a certificate program in fashion designing. Students who want to start their career as assistant designer in retail or export sector can apply for this course. 12th pass students can take admission in this course. This course is of 6 months and can be completed in a maximum of 2 years.

The university has also started a one-year diploma course in Agricultural Cost Management. 12th pass students can apply for this. This course will be run in collaboration with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI).
