Dubai: The mortal remains of former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf will be brought to Pakistan. Sources have given this information. Musharraf died on Sunday in a hospital in Dubai after a prolonged illness. A special court in Pakistan sentenced the former military ruler to death under Article 6 of the Constitution on December 17, 2019. A case of sedition was registered against him during the tenure of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). It was the first time in Pakistan’s history that a former military ruler faced trial for treason. However, that death sentence was later quashed by the Lahore High Court.
