People called Sonya Hussain ridiculous for wearing a saree on Diwali, said ‘If Jinnah had been there, he/she would have died again’

It would not be wrong at all to say that Diwali is not only one of the most popular festivals celebrated in India but it is also the favorite of most of the people. This is because with the festival of Diwali, the party season begins, the excitement of which does not subside very quickly. This is also one of the reasons why people from different countries have not only started celebrating the festival of Diwali but also hold parties at their homes.

A similar party was organized by Pakistani fashion designer Deepak Perwani on this year’s Diwali, in which Pakistani celebs including Sarwat Gilani-Fahad Mirza, Sonya Hussain, Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Tara Mehmood, Shahryar Munawwar Siddiqui and Maheen Siddiqui attended. The theme of this party was full to ethnic, in which a perfect mix of glamor and traditional was served. Not only this, during this time beautiful fashion moments of celebs obsessed with this festival were also seen, which were no doubt very grand and spectacular.

Yes, it is a different matter that the people of Pakistan neither liked the Diwali party of these stars nor their grace and elegance seen in desi clothes, due to which they not only followed them but Sonya Hussain had to suffer the biggest loss for this. People did not like celebrating Diwali by wearing a saree. (All photos-@sonyahussyn Instagram)

the saree she wore

Actually, Sonya Hussain had arrived at Pakistani fashion designer Deepak Perwani’s Diwali party wearing a very beautiful color-combination saree, which she had picked from the collection of famous fashion designer Fahad Hussain. This piece was painted in multicolored colors, for which bright colors like red-yellow, green-blue were used. There was print on print work on the overall saree, which also had a beautiful border line.

Blouse with cutout sleeves

With this attractive color-combination drape, Sonya Hussain wore a blouse with cutout sleeves, which kept the back look backless with a deep neckline. To avoid showing too much skin in this attire, the actress had covered her pallu from the bust. To complete the look, she wore minimal makeup and left her hair open with a twist. She had put a red bindi on her forehead, which complemented her look and made her look beautiful.

Why the ruckus?

Although the actress has not shared any photo of her look yet. But he/she has posted a video related to the party on his/her social media handle, in which the Pakistani public was shocked to see his/her avatar. They not only made various comments on the actress’s looks but also accused her of insulting religion. One user wrote, ‘If Jinnah had been there, he/she would have died again.’ Another wrote, ‘You should be ashamed.’ Another user said, ‘You have forgotten that you are a Muslim.’
