Pawar spoke to Naidu and Patnaik, eyes on Nitish too, will the India Alliance government be formed?

New Delhi: Seeing that the ruling party BJP is not getting majority on its own, the opposition leaders have started making efforts to form the government. Sharad Pawar, a big leader of the opposition camp, has called two big leaders. Pawar has spoken to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu as well as Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik. Assembly elections have also been held in both these states and in both places the public has voted in favor of changing the government. In Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party YSRCP is coming out of power while in Odisha, BJD is coming out of power. In Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Babu Naidu’s party TDP is forming the government while in Odisha, BJP has snatched power from BJD. However, on the question of the media, Pawar said that he/she has not spoken to anyone.

Naidu is on top, Patnaik gets defeated

This time TDP is a part of the BJP led alliance NDA while BJD has always supported NDA’s Narendra Modi government in the parliament. In one of these, TDP is coming to power while in the other, power is being snatched away from BJD. TDP has performed well in the Lok Sabha elections also. It alone is seen getting 16 seats in Andhra Pradesh while its ally BJP is getting four seats. On the contrary, BJD fared badly in the Lok Sabha elections. It has been confined to Jajpur seat of Odisha. Here BJD candidate Sharmistha Sethi is leading over her nearest rival BJP candidate Rabindra Narayan Behera.

Can Naidu and Nitish play together?

On the other hand, political activities have intensified in Bihar. A round of speculations and claims has started regarding Nitish Kumar. It is being said that the opposition alliance has started the exercise to bring Nitish Kumar with them. Nitish’s party JDU is also a part of NDA and it is seen getting 14 seats on its own in Bihar. In this way, if we combine Naidu’s TDP and Nitish’s JDU, then the total is 16 + 14 i.e. 30 seats. If these two parties change sides and go to the opposition camp, then NDA can get a big shock. All the big leaders of the opposition including Sharad Pawar would want this. At present, BJP is seen getting 240 seats while Congress is getting around 100 seats. If we talk about both the alliances, then NDA can get around 300 seats while India can get around 230 seats.
