In IPL 2023, Mathisha Pathirana has done the best bowling so far. The action of this 20-year-old bowler, known as ‘Baby Malinga’, is similar to that of former Sri Lankan bowler Lasith Malinga. he/she has grown rapidly under Dhoni’s tutelage and CSK bowling coach Dwayne Bravo’s guidance. This dangerous bowler of CSK has lived up to the expectations with a brilliant performance under pressure. Mathisha has so far taken 17 wickets in 11 matches for CSK in IPL 2023. During this, getting 3 wickets for 15 runs was his/her best performance.

With 17 points, the Chennai team finished second in the points table. The first qualifier match was played between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans on 23 May.
