Parakram Diwas Essay and Speech: ‘Give me blood and I will give you freedom’ – Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, who gave this famous slogan, was a formidable freedom fighter who created an army of independent Indians full of freedom spirit and made them stand before the British. he/she declared a part of India independent by hoisting the flag of independent India for the first time in Andaman. Earlier, 23 January merely symbolized the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, but from the year 2021, this day is being celebrated as Valor Day.

Celebration of Valor Day begins on Netaji’s birthday

Every year on 23 January, Parakram Diwas is celebrated on the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti. The celebration of this bravery day started with the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji. In the coming year 2025, Netaji’s 128th birth anniversary will be celebrated as Valor Day. All the works and goals of Netaji are still running as an inspiration in the veins of the youth. Nothing is impossible for such a great personality with steely intentions.

In 2018, on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he/she renamed an island of Andaman Nicobar after Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, which Netaji had liberated. To forever remind the countrymen of the incomparable struggle of Subhash Chandra Bose, some of his/her confidential files were made public. his/her statue was installed on the duty path near India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Understanding the sentiments of the countrymen, the Government of India under the leadership of PM Modi had called for celebrating Netaji’s birth anniversary as Valor Day.

When India was enduring the atrocities of the British rule, many Indians were either supporting the British or living peacefully with their families in foreign countries. While India was getting drenched in blood, some Indians living in their own country and abroad were turning a blind eye.

Subhash Chandra Bose was the personality who shook and awakened the consciousness of Indians by going abroad. Organized the Indian soldiers present abroad. Netaji taught Indians the passion to live for the country and gave them the aim of dying for the country.

Netaji formed Azad Hind Fauj to take on the British. When in the world India was called a country of snake charmers and the poor and the general rights of women were discussed, then Netaji included women in the struggle by forming the Rani Jhansi Regiment.

Women from every caste, religion and region were included in this regiment and it was named Azad Hind Fauj. When the so-called other leaders and non-violence advocates did not respect a personality like Subhash Chandra Bose ji and did not agree with his/her ideas, he/she alone walked on the path with his/her Azad Hind Fauj.

Had it not been for Netaji Subhash Bose, who freed the country by showing the torch during the dark period of slavery, it might have taken decades for us to get independence. Netaji also went to jail several times during the fight against the British, where he/she had to undergo many tortures. his/her life is still a matter of inspiration and pride for every Indian.
