Pant-Iyer’s 2 crores… then what is the base price of Sarfaraz, where is the 24 crore stark in IPL auction list?

New Delhi. The date of IPL players auction has arrived. It will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 24 and 25 November. For this, 1574 players from the world have registered their names. Of these, 1165 are Indians. After the list of players is revealed, there is discussion regarding the base price. Most of the players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer playing for Team India have kept their base price at Rs 2 crore. In this auction of the Indian Premier League to be held on 24-25 November, bids can be made on around 200 players. For this reason it is also being called IPL Mega Auction. According to Cricinfo, the price of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami has been fixed at Rs 2 crore for this auction. The base price list of Rs 2 crore includes Khalil Ahmed, Deepak Chahar, Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, Ishan Kishan, Mukesh Kumar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Prasidh Krishna, T. Natarajan, Devdutt Padikkal, Krunal Pandya, Harshal Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohammad Siraj, Umesh Yadav are also there.

Sarfaraz Khan, who played an inning of 150 runs in the Bengaluru Test, has fixed his/her base price at Rs 75 lakh. Sarfaraz remained unsold in the last auction. Prithvi Shaw has also kept his/her base price at Rs 75 lakh. Prithvi is out of Ranji team due to poor form. Mitchell Starc, who was the most expensive player in the last auction, has kept his/her base price at Rs 2 crore. For IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders bought Mitchell Starc for Rs 24.75 crore.

Among the players participating in the IPL auction, 320 are capped and 1224 are uncapped. Maximum 48 capped players are from India. 10 teams have retained 46 players for IPL 2025. The remaining players will be included in the team through auction. There can be a maximum of 25 players in a team.
