Pakistani origin player got Indian visa

Pakistan origin player Saqib Mahmood has got a visa for India. Mahmood is a fast bowler of the England team and now after getting the visa, he/she will reach Kolkata to join the England team.

New DelhiResidents of Pakistan origin face a lot of difficulty in getting Indian visa. Some players of Pakistani origin also have to face the same, be it Adil Rashid or Rehan Ahmed. The 5-match T20 series between India and England is going to start from January 22.

England has already announced its squad for this series. There is a bowler in this squad who comes from Pakistan origin. In such a situation, it has been seen many times that players of Pakistani origin have faced a lot of difficulty in getting visa for India. But this time Saqib Mahmood did not face any problem in getting Indian visa and now he/she will reach Kolkata with the England team.

However, Saqib did not get the Indian visa so easily. Before this, he/she had faced difficulties in getting Indian visa twice. he/she did not get Indian visa for 2019 and 2024.

When has Shakib not been able to come to India before?

In 2019, England Lions toured India, in which Saqib could not come due to lack of visa. Then in 2024, Lancashire Cricket Club visited India for pre-season practice. Even in this tour, Saqib could not come to India due to not getting a visa.
