Pakistan: State Daman, BYC protests against Baloch massacre in Balochistan


The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) organized a series of protests in Balochistan on Sunday, demanded justice and condemned the ongoing state repression, disappeared, and influenced the region.

In a post on X, BYC said, “The systematic targeting of scholars, students and activists in Balochistan has reached dangerous levels, which causes fear and shock among the affected families, as the affected disappearance. BYC asks all sections of the society to raise their voice against the violation of these ongoing human rights. ,

Giving details of the protests, byc revealed that the tasks included a three-day awareness camps in Turbat, Ketch, highlighting the distress of extraordinary murders and targeted murders. The camp is a central part of byc’s efforts to focus on these violations, and it serves as a platform for the families of the victims to share their experiences. Other important protests included a rally in the shawl, led by BYC Shal Zone, who was the kidnapping of Asma Jatt, the murder of Baloch scholar Allah Dad and the disappearance of Mubarak and Hafiz Baloch for justice was calling. In Mastung and Kalat, byc organized a shutter-down strike in response to these similar issues, demanding extraordinary murder of Allah Dad and accountability for the abduction of Asma Baloch.

In Nushki, a protest rally was held from Mir Gul Khan Naseer Library to Nushki Press Club, condemning state -backed death squads for his/her role in kidnapping and killings. Meanwhile, rallies in Destiny, Chagai and Yakamach echoed similar demands, in which the protesters paid attention to the forced disappearance and killings by the state forces.

In its post, BYC stated that it remains stable in search of justice for the oppressed Baloch people and continues to call national and international human rights organizations to take notice of these serious violations.

Balochistan faces several issues, including the state suppression, disappearance and extraordinary murders of activists, scholars and citizens. The region suffers from inadequate development, lack of infrastructure and economic neglect with limited political autonomy.
