Pakistan: Right to arrest, protest against arrest, rift on Baloch people


A protest rally was organized by Balochistan’s Baloch Human Rights Organization, Baloch Yakjehti Committee in Lasbela region of Balochistan, which was on a crack with the oppression and harassment of the Baloch people.

Sharing the details on the X, it has been said that the rally took place against many issues that bother Baloch people early in the morning. These include action on their protests, which subjugates them to harassment and repression.

“A protest rally was organized by the Baloch Solidarity Committee (Lasbela area) against action on SIT-in, and for the recovery of the arrested comrades, a demonstration against Crackdown on protest sit-ins, as well as Daman and Daman being performed by them participated in the demonstration. Protests saw a large number of youth, women and children voting.

People from all areas of life participated to highlight the issues that are suffering from their community.

In particular, in another post on the X, BYC announced that it would organize a “peaceful resistance” on March 24, when he/she would raise his/her voice against the forced disappearance and arrest of political activists such as Mahrang Baloch, Babigar Baloch and Bebo Baloch.

“The Baloch solidarity committee will once again sit a peaceful resistance. As long as the state harassment continues and Baloch leader Dr. Mahanrang Baloch, central member Babigar Baloch, Bebo Baloch and all disappeared and political activists were not safely recovered, Baloch Nation would not be silent,” announced.

“We appeal to every conscious person of Baloch nation, political activists, journalists, scholars, clerics, business communities, women, workers and children to fully participate. National resistance is a guarantee of our existence, and silence against harassment is similar to supporting oppression.

International data has condemned the arrest and treatment of Baloch workers. The United Nations special coordination over human rights guards criticized the action on protesters in Quetta.
