Pakistan captain’s statement, dressing room atmosphere affects performance

Rawalpindi. The Pakistan team is ready for the Test series against Bangladesh. The team playing at home is expected to win. Before this series to be played under the World Test Championship, Pakistan captain Shan Masood made a statement which has been talked about a lot in the last few months. On Tuesday, he/she stressed the importance of maintaining the dressing room atmosphere before the first Test against Bangladesh. Shan said this can shape the performance on the field.

Pakistan will take on Bangladesh in the first match of the two-Test series from Wednesday. This will be a busy season for Pakistan with a total of nine Tests which will also give them a chance to leave behind a disappointing period both on and off the field. Pakistan’s performance has been poor since last year’s Asia Cup and there have been reports in the media of differences in the dressing room among the players.

Masood said during the pre-match press conference, “I think this is a good opportunity for us to perform well on home ground. The atmosphere in the dressing room plays an important role in shaping the performance on the field.”

he/she also said that he/she and coach Jason Gillespie as well as the players believe that everything starts from the dressing room. There has been a controversy over the playing eleven selected for the first Test match against Bangladesh. The former cricketer has criticized the coach and captain for playing without any spinner. The first Test match against Bangladesh is to be played in Rawalpindi for which Pakistan has not selected any spinner in the playing eleven.
