PAK vs SA: Babar Azam returns, Shan Masood will take command, Pakistan announces playing XI

New Delhi. The test series between Pakistan and South Africa is going to start from 26th December. Pakistan has announced its playing eleven for the first Test against South Africa starting at SuperSport Park in Centurion. Former captain Babar Azam has returned to the team. he/she was dropped after the first Test against England. Shan Masood will take command.

Kamran Ghulam, who made his/her debut in Test cricket during the series against England, is also included in the team. Pakistan has not fielded a spinner for the first of the two Test matches and instead has selected four fast bowlers. It includes Aamir Jamal, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas.

After suffering a humiliating 0-2 defeat against Bangladesh at home, the Shan Masood-led team is coming back with a 2-1 series win against England at home in the longest format. After losing the T20 series to the Proteas team, they made a comeback by winning the ODI series 3-0. Now it remains to be seen how his/her performance is in the test series. The second test will be held in Cape Town from January 3.
