New Delhi. The second test between Pakistan and South Africa is being played in Cape Town. During the second Test match against Pakistan, Ryan Rickelton became the first South African player to score a double century in nine years. The left-handed batsman achieved this feat in 266 balls. Earlier in the year 2016, Hashim Amla had scored a double century.
This was Rickelton’s first double century in Tests and interestingly, he/she has become the first player in 2025 to score a century and a double century. This batsman made many records during his/her double century. Earlier, after scoring a century on Friday, he/she along with Temba Bavuma made a double century partnership to lead his/her team to victory again on the first day. Ryan has left Jacques Kallis behind. Kallis had scored a double century in 267 balls.

Herschelle Gibbs has scored the fastest Test century for South Africa. Ryan Rickelton joined the list of players to score the fastest Test double century for South Africa. he/she is at number four. Which also includes legendary players like Herschelle Gibbs and Jacques Kallis.
