New Delhi. Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi says that his/her team is a strong contender to lift the T20 World Cup trophy. Afridi says that no other team has a bowling attack like his/her team. Afridi also said that the conditions of West Indies and America will suit the Pakistani team. However, Afridi also expressed concern over the poor strike rate of his/her batsmen in the middle overs. Pakistan has been placed in Group A along with India, Ireland, Canada and America.

Shahid Afridi said that Pakistan has the best fast attack in the world with bowlers like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Amir and Abbas Afridi. T20 World Cup tournament ambassador Afridi told ICC, ‘I am concerned about the strike rate of our batsmen. Especially between the seventh and 13th overs. Hopefully this will improve. Eight to nine runs should be scored per over. In my view, Pakistan is a strong contender for the title.

‘I will choose Babar’
Afridi further said, ‘All the players of the team are important but in recent times, Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan have played important roles. If I have to choose one, I will choose Babar. he/she is the captain and I want him/her to play well and take good decisions to help the team win. Pakistan team is currently on tour of England. A 4-match T20 series is being played between Pakistan and England. After this series, both the teams will leave to play the World Cup.
