Painful accident in the semi-finals… the ball hit the female fielder’s forehead, the match stopped.


New Delhi. A player was seriously injured in the New Zealand vs West Indies Women’s T20 World Cup semi-final. While trying to catch the ball, West Indies women’s cricketer Chinley Henry was hit straight on the face by the ball, after which she fell down unconscious. After this there was silence in the stadium. Kiwi players stopped running while the umpire also decided to stop the match for some time. Later Henry was sent out of the field with the help of physio and support staff. This tragic accident happened while fielding with Chinle.

New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr played the first ball of the 12th over of New Zealand’s innings in the air against Deandra Dottin. On a short length ball, Amelia Kerr hit the ball in the air towards long on. But West Indies fielder Chinelle Henry was standing there. Although this catch was easy for him/her, but at the last moment it seemed that his/her brain faded. The ball came straight and hit Chinle on his/her forehead. After this she fell down and the game was stopped. After this the physio was immediately called and he/she sprayed the injured area. Henry was hit just above his/her eyes.
