‘Paatal Lok 2’ web series review

Like the last season, this time too Hathiram is seen searching for the truth amidst all the flaws in the system. Director Avinash Arun Dhawre takes this journey forward in a thriller, cold-blooded, but humane style. They set the tone with the murder scene in the first episode. As the episodes progress, the dead bodies and conspiracies increase, but Hathiram keeps solving them.

The director has depicted the dark chapter of murder in the beautiful land of Nagaland. The biggest plus point of this series is its originality and realism. Although it has glimpses of other crime based series, the style of storytelling is different. The second season is more subtle than the first season. The combination of Hindi, English and local languages of Nagaland has been depicted well. But its plot is a bit complex and has many subplots, which can confuse the audience.

Talking about acting, Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathiram once again wins hearts. his/her body language, his/her being an underdog, his/her unique style of delivering dialogues cements the credibility of his/her character. Ishwak Singh as Ansari supports him/her beautifully.

Tilottama Shome shines with her character as the new addition this season. The role of Renu represents the wives of policemen who have been inadvertently neglected. Director Nagesh Kukunoor has done a good job as have the actors. The acting skills of many capable actors from the North-East can be seen in the series. The supporting cast is fantastic as ever.

Why watch- For those who are fond of crime stories and have great performances, you can watch ‘Paatal Lok 2’.
