New Delhi: A big statement of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has come out regarding China. The External Affairs Minister has said that we cannot do business with China. We are not close to China in terms of trade. No one can say this. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar made this statement at the conference of ambassadors of the German Foreign Office going on in Berlin.

‘Can’t do business with China’

According to the information, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, ‘We are not close to trade with China… No one can say that we cannot trade with China, the issue is on what terms you do business. It is much more complicated. There is nothing black and white in this.’ German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and German Ambassador to Delhi Dr. Philip Ackermann were also present in this conference.

Jaishankar also held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of GCC member countries during the first India-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Monday. The External Affairs Minister started the day by holding talks with Qatar Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat. After meeting with the Qatari leader, Jaishankar posted on Twitter, “Discussed furthering India-Qatar bilateral relations. Appreciated his/her insights and assessment on regional developments.”
