Oppressed Hindus being rebuked and Bangladeshis being invited? BJP asked a tough question to CM Mamata

New Delhi: Student movement is going on in Bangladesh. Due to this, a situation of anarchy has arisen there. Many Bangladeshis are fleeing from this environment and moving towards India. In such a situation, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, a state bordering Bangladesh, has given an open invitation to Bangladeshis. She said that any Bangladeshi who comes to her state in this hour of crisis will be welcomed. BJP, which is in the central government and is playing the role of the main opposition in West Bengal, has reacted strongly to this statement of Mamata. BJP’s co-incharge in the state Amit Malviya said that Mamata Banerjee is violating the limits of division of work and responsibilities between the state and the center. he/she has also accused Mamata of Muslim appeasement and anti-Hinduism.

Mamata said- Bangladeshis are welcome in West Bengal

CM Mamata Banerjee said in her party’s rally on Martyr’s Day that what is happening in Bangladesh is their internal matter, but we will welcome the refugees. Mamata also cited the guidelines of the United Nations (UNO) in her statement. Mamata said, ‘According to the UN guidelines, we will welcome all those refugees who have been expelled from their homes in Bangladesh and want to take refuge in our state.’ She has appealed to the people of Bengal not to get provoked.

Mamata’s special plan behind the statement?

The statement by the head of the West Bengal government will definitely encourage Bangladeshis to seek refuge in India. Cases of illegal infiltration are reported on the border of West Bengal. If Bangladeshis are trying to enter India by risking their lives illegally, then there may be a race among them to become refugees after getting the news of being welcomed by the government. On the other hand, there is also a fear that the Bangladeshis who have already entered will be given legitimacy by calling them refugees. Probably due to this fear, BJP has criticized Mamata Banerjee’s statement.

BJP asked- Why cruelty towards persecuted Hindus?

BJP co-in-charge of West Bengal and party’s national media in-charge Amit Malviya called Mamata’s statement a nefarious plan to settle illegal infiltrators in West Bengal, Jharkhand and other neighboring states. he/she wrote on social media platform X, ‘Mamata Banerjee says one day that we will not allow Hindu refugees to come. Hindu refugees want to apply for Indian citizenship illegally under CAA after facing religious persecution. But Mamata says that if they put pressure, we will ask illegal Rohingyas to burn trains, block roads and kill people because Rohingyas vote for TMC. On the other hand, Mamata says that Bangladeshis are welcome in India.’

By what right is Mamata welcoming foreigners: BJP

Malviya asked Mamata who gave her the right to invite foreigners? he/she wrote, ‘The matter of refugees and citizenship is under the Central Government only. The state governments have no right in this matter. This is the unfortunate plan of the opposition Indi Alliance to settle illegal Bangladeshis from Bengal in Jharkhand so that they can win the elections.’
