Opinion: Attacks on Hindu faith will not harm Sanatan… Is this hypocrisy or proof?

New Delhi: There was an uproar over the news of adulterated ghee being used in the main prasad of Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The report from the lab in Gujarat confirmed that the ghee used to make Tirupati laddus had animal fat mixed in it. It was a holy prasad, that too of a famous temple like Tirupati where devout Hindus from all over the world come to see Lord Venkateswara. Just imagine, those Hindus were being fed cow fat as prasad. The news of cow fat being used in cartridges had led to the first revolution of 1857 against the British Empire. If fat mixed in prasad is fed to Hindus who consider cow as their mother, then what could be a bigger religious attack than this? But this happened in Tirupati.

Was there a deliberate conspiracy in the Christian government?

TDP’s Chandrababu Naidu government says that the use of impure and adulterated ghee for Tirupati laddu started in the previous Jaganmohan Reddy government of YSR Congress. Tirupati’s then priest Ramana Dixitulu has claimed that he/she had raised the issue of impurity of ghee, but the then temple management did not listen to him/her. Jaganmohan Reddy and his/her family are Christians. Imagine if this had happened to non-Hindus in the government of a Hindu Chief Minister, that too through their religious place, what kind of narrative would have been created in the country and the world today! But in this country of majority Hindus, such a big attack on the faith of Hindus happened, but the matter came and went. How did this happen? At the root of this is the tendency to constantly hurt the faith of Hindus. It seems that the Hindus who have been going through small and big insults have gradually accepted that this is our fate in India. That is why the government of the country and its head are accused of being Hinduist, yet the Hindus have maintained silence even after eating cow fat in the guise of Prasad?

The audacity to feed cow fat to Hindus, how?

In fact, the audacity to use ghee made of cow fat in making prasad was possible only because Hindus stopped resisting the attacks on their faith. Remember the things given below and ask with your hand on your heart whether such a thing can ever be said about non-Hindus? Can the same people who have said such things about Hindus dare to do so about non-Hindus?

➤ Samajwadi Party chief and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav attacked the current Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that
There is not much difference between a head priest and a mafia. After that, he/she wrote in his/her X post, ‘Identify the real saint by his/her language, there are many cunning people roaming around in the world in the guise of a saint.’

➤ The then Vice President of Congress and the current Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi said that those who go to temples are the ones who tease girls. he/she was addressing the Sankalp Sammelan organized by the Mahila Congress on the 70th birth anniversary of his/her father and former Prime Minister of the country, Rajiv Gandhi.

➤ Insult of Maa Durga: In the country’s prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), pamphlets were printed in which Maa Durga was described as a prostitute who killed Mahishasur by deceit. Then Kedar Kumar Mandal, an assistant professor at Dyal Singh College of Delhi University, wrote for Maa Durga in a Facebook post, ‘Durga is a very sexy prostitute in Indian mythology.’

➤ These days, it has become a trend to make fun of Hindu faith in the name of art performance in colleges. Students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay staged a play named ‘Rahovan’. Through this play, the students made fun of Lord Rama and Mother Sita. Similarly, in Savitribai Phule University of Pune, Lord Rama and Goddess Sita were made fun of by staging a play based on Ramlila. Mother Sita was shown smoking cigarettes in the play.

➤ Chandrashekhar Yadav, the then education minister of Bihar, called Ramcharitmanas poisonous. he/she compared Tulsi’s Ramcharitmanas to potassium cyanide. Chandrashekhar said that what will happen if you serve 55 types of dishes and add potassium cyanide to them, the condition of Hindu religious texts is also the same. Chandrashekhar, who made this statement due to the tolerance of Hindus, praised the Prophet. he/she said, ‘When evil increased, faith ended in the world, dishonest people and devils became prevalent, then in the region of Central Asia, God created a great ancestor, prophet, Maryada Purushottam, whatever you call him/her, Mohammad Saheb. Islam came to bring faith, Islam came against dishonesty, Islam came against devilry, but if a dishonest person also calls himself a Muslim, then the Quran does not allow that.’ Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Swami Prasad Maurya also strongly supported Chandrashekhar’s statements against Ramcharitmanas.

➤ Tamil Nadu’s ruling party DMK leader and state Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin compared Hinduism to dreaded diseases. Tamil Nadu government minister Udhayanidhi not only participated in the conference organized to ‘eradicate Sanatan Dharma’ but also said that ‘Sanatana Dharma is like malaria dengue which needs to be eradicated.’ he/she said, ‘There are some things that opposing them is not enough, we have to eradicate them completely. Mosquitoes, dengue fever, malaria, corona are such things that we cannot just oppose, we have to eradicate them. Sanatan is also like this.’

➤ There are many handles on social media that keep hurting the faith of Hindus every day. They fearlessly make derogatory comments on Hindu deities. The profiles of these social handles often mention that they are Ambedkarites, against casteism and support the slogan of Bhim-Meme. By looking at their comments, anyone can understand that they do not care about the law at all. It seems that because of being born in a particular caste and believing in a particular ideology, they have the right to hurt the faith of Hindus fearlessly.

➤ Sayoni Ghosh posted a picture of herself putting a condom on Shivling on her social media. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress (TMC) gave this Sayoni Ghosh a Lok Sabha ticket and she even reached the Parliament by winning the Jadavpur seat. Imagine, which party would have the courage to give this honor to someone who does this for non-Hindus? In a TV debate, Nupur Sharma quoted a line from the Hadith in response to the provocative comments of a Muslim panelist, for which the BJP expelled her from the party. Eight Hindus were brutally murdered by Muslims across the country. This issue was raised in Arab countries and it seemed that the Hindus who went there in search of employment were in danger. But Sayoni got the honor of becoming an MP in exchange for insulting the Hindu faith so much. This is the condition of the Hindu majority in India.

➤ When it was claimed that there was a Shivling in the wazukhana of Mathura Idgah Mosque, Muslims started comparing the milestones with Shivling on TV channels. Muslims and people with anti-Hindu ideology made fun of the stones by calling them Shivling in social media posts. The Hindu society kept suffering silently.

➤ Bollywood is one of the biggest contributors to the campaign of showing Sanatan Dharma in a bad light. Hindu symbols have always been mocked in Bollywood films and this work is still going on in full swing today. Be it Hindu gods and goddesses or priests, the list of films mocking them is very long.

➤ Currently, a campaign of ‘Dismantling Hindutva’ is being run in higher education institutions of America and Europe. Most of the people of Indian origin are at the root of these campaigns. They conduct online or offline programs in different campuses and explain how important it is to wipe out the name and trace of Sanatan. They say derogatory things about Hindu gods and goddesses, criticize the customs and rituals of Hindus and call Hinduism poison. All this is happening and Hindus are silent.

Hindu society has forgotten how to protest!

When such attacks happen on Hindus, it is said that Sanatan Dharma is not so weak that these things can have any negative effect. Then why are Hindus not able to give a strong reaction even after such a big betrayal? Is it not the effect of such continuous attacks by leaders and anti-religionists that Hindus have started considering even the biggest blow to their faith as normal? How can we expect the Hindu society, which has lost the strength to even utter a word, to unite against the attack, to protect Sanatan? Then, hasn’t the time come to ask those who start teaching the lesson of tolerance of Sanatan to those who react to the insult of Hindu faith, whether Sanatan has become weak or not? Shouldn’t they be asked that if even a very hard stone can be worn down by repeated friction of a soft rope, then from where did they get this knowledge that Sanatan will not become weak due to continuous attacks because the evidence from history till today is completely opposite.

Those who teach tolerance should answer

What was the scope of those who believed in Sanatan in history, what is it today? Then why are the Hindus who rebelled against the powerful British Empire in 1857 not able to raise a strong voice of protest on the same issue today? Is there no evidence that the attacks on faith have weakened Hindus and Sanatan? Notice, all this is happening with Hindus, but far from taking suo motu cognizance, is the Supreme Court even ready to accept that something like this is happening? Remember, in the Nupur Sharma case, the same Supreme Court held Nupur responsible for the murder of Hindus by Muslims and the uproar created in the country and abroad. Does the Supreme Court, which is immediately concerned about terrorists, Jihadis, encroachers, have even a little concern about the continuous attacks on Hindu faith? Shouldn’t all these questions be asked to those who keep explaining to us the meaning of being Sanatani in response to the attack on Hindu faith? Are those who teach the lesson of tolerance involved in the campaign to make Hindus spineless? The question arises because he/she never tried at his/her level to explain or put pressure on the government or political parties that such campaigns against Hindus should be stopped.
