Mumbai: There is a discussion going on across the country regarding the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme. Governments of many states have also implemented it in their states. Many state government employees are also making demands regarding this. In this sequence, government employees were agitating in Maharashtra for the last 7 days. They were demanding that the state employees be given benefits under the old pension scheme.

Employees organization meeting with CM today

A meeting was held with the employees’ union and the Chief Minister on Monday. In this meeting, the government has shown a positive attitude towards the demand of the employees, after which the agitation going on for the last 7 days on the demand of OPS in Maharashtra has been called off. Vishwas Katkar, the leader of Government Employees Association, said after the meeting with the CM that the government has formed a committee to study our demands.

For this, the government will study the OPS implemented in states like Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Himachal. After this a decision will be taken regarding it. he/she said that the government has given this assurance to us in writing.

he/she should get social security after retirement – Devendra Fadnavis

On the other hand, Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that he/she did a lot of negotiations with the state government employees who were on strike for 7 days regarding OPS. They have been told that they should get social security after retirement. Resources should be available to live properly. We believe in this principal. Based on this, a committee has been formed. he/she told that this committee will look into old pension scheme, new pension scheme. She will investigate how all the benefits can be given to her, she will give a report by practicing all those things so that she can lead a good life. Union will also go to that committee, 3 months time has been given to the committee.
