Oh Lord, Oh Harinath… now even the ‘roof of the world’ has been jammed, watch video

New Delhi: Wherever you go, there is always a crowd…you must have heard people saying this many times or felt it yourself. But did you ever think that a crowd would gather on the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest? If you thought that wouldn’t happen then you were wrong. In the last few years, there has been a huge increase in the number of climbers on Everest, due to which crowding and jam-like situation has arisen there. The pictures and videos going viral on social media confirm this claim. In these pictures, hundreds of climbers are seen standing in a line behind each other, as if they are on the street of a busy city. Some people, after seeing these pictures, have said that people have made Dadar station. Some people say that how can such a huge crowd gather at such a height and on a difficult route.

There have also been many accidents on Everest in recent times. Which also includes falling of ice cubes and scuffles between climbers. A British climber, a Kenyan and a Nepalese climber have also lost their lives in these accidents. A guide is also missing. British climber Daniel Patterson and his/her Nepali guide Pass Tenji Sherpa have been missing since being snowed in on May 21. Several videos have surfaced which show that there was a lot of crowd on the road even before the accident.

The result of overcrowding has been that climbers have to stay for longer periods in the death zone (an area at an altitude of more than 8,000 meters). Due to less oxygen, the risk of altitude sickness and hypothermia increases. There was a violent clash on Everest some time ago. The incident was a result of overcrowding and rising tensions. The mountains are also being damaged due to the increasing number of climbers.

Now the question is whether the number of permits to climb Everest should not be limited. Inexperienced climbers should not be deterred. Tourism companies should not follow better crowd management and safety measures. At the same time, it also needs to be understood that climbing the peak of Everest is an honor, not a matter of show off.
