Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’ is surprising every day. It has been 43 days since this film was released at the box office and even today it is earning more than crores of rupees every day. Even on Thursday, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao’s film has achieved this feat. Especially when it became available for rent on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on Thursday itself. Not only this, on Friday, Junior NTR, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Devra’ has also been released with bumper advance booking. In such a situation, the attitude of ‘Stree 2’ is saying that the film is going to earn more. The budget of ‘Stree 2’ is Rs 55-60 crores. Whereas this film has earned more than 900% of its cost at the domestic box office in 43 days. While the film is close to the Rs 600 crore club in the country, it is standing at the threshold of Rs 900 crore worldwide. Not only this, it is also the first Hindi film which is doing business in crores for 43 consecutive days.

Will ‘Devra’ harm ‘Stree 2’?

On Friday, Junior NTR’s ‘Devra’ and Anjini Dhawan’s debut film ‘Binny and Family’ were released at the box office. Out of this, ‘Devra’ has been released with bumper advance booking of Rs 38.84 crore. Obviously, due to the release of new films, the number of screens of ‘Stree 2’ will reduce. But at least for the first three days, ‘Devra’ does not seem to be causing much loss, as its gross advance booking in the Hindi version is only Rs 1.80 crore.
