Nz vs Eng: Good start for New Zealand, Santner-Latham hit fifty, how was the game on the first day?

New Zealand lost the wickets of Daryl Mitchell (14), Glenn Phillips (five) and Tom Blundell (21) early. Santner and Matt Henry added 41 runs for the eighth wicket. After Henry was out, Tim Southee came to play his/her 107th and last Test. Saudi is going to retire from the game after this match. The England fielders gave a guard of honor upon his/her landing. he/she scored 23 runs in ten balls.
