NTA News: NTA is increasing manpower, created 16 new posts, now all exams will be held on time!

To overcome the shortage of manpower in the National Testing Agency (NTA), 16 new posts have been created at the Director and Joint Director level. Actually, NTA conducts many types of big exams including engineering, medical, university entrance and due to lack of manpower, there is a delay from the exam schedule to the result. Students have to suffer the consequences of this. Sources in the Education Ministry say that now 8 directors and 8 joint directors will be appointed in NTA.

Recruitment in NTA through Central Staffing Rules

These officers will be appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme. There is a provision for appointment to posts at the Director, Joint Director level in the Ministries and Departments of the Government of India. It comprises officers from all state governments and participating Group-A services. Also, in the states where there will be exam centres, NTA will have to coordinate with the administration at the state and district level.

There will be strict parameters for selecting the agencies with which NTA will have to coordinate for conducting the test. The committee has also given suggestions regarding exam security management. The committee has made a total of 101 recommendations. The recommendations regarding necessary changes in the exam pattern are being discussed.

Sources say that a decision is yet to be taken regarding which exam of 2025 will have what pattern, which exam will be offline, computer based or hybrid mode. However, the wait of students is increasing.
