NTA brings hi-tech method of filling NEET UG form, now verification will be done through Aadhaar and APAAR ID!

NTA (National Testing Agency) will soon start the application process for NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate) 2025. This time NTA is encouraging candidates to verify their APAAR ID and Aadhaar during the application and examination process. NTA has asked the candidates to update their Aadhaar details. Apart from this, NEET UG 2025 is also being linked with APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry).

NTA said, ‘The use of Aadhaar and Apar ID in the NEET examination process is recommended to enhance the credibility of updated information verification, simplifying the registration process.’ NEET UG 2025 registration process will start soon. To update your Aadhaar before then, you can visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment or Update Centre.

The National Testing Agency says that with the advancement in Aadhaar based technology like face authentication method introduced by UIDAI, candidates can now avail faster identity verification tools. In simple words, because of technology it is now very easy to fill the form.
Think, show the face, and the information will fill in automatically. Time will also be saved and mistakes will also be reduced. This new technology will make the examination process even more secure and transparent.

What is APAAR ID?

APAAR, which stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry, is a unique identification system designed for all students in India. This initiative is part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ program launched by the government, which is part of the new National Education Policy 2020. There is a plan to give an identity card ID to every student.

Update Aadhaar information:

NEET UG candidates are advised to update their Aadhaar details, especially as per class 10th marksheet or passing certificate and facial recognition data. Use of Aadhaar helps to auto-populate the details and reduce mistakes while submitting the application. Also ensure that your Aadhaar is linked to a valid mobile number, so that OTP-based authentication can take place.
