The Sensex opened at 59,652.38 with a gain of 462.65 points or 0.78 per cent. On the other hand, Nifty opened at 17,778.90 with a gain of 132.90 points (0.75 per cent).

Due to strong global cues, the stock market opened on the green mark on Thursday, the fourth trading day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s major index Sensex opened at 59,652.38 with a gain of 462.65 points or 0.78 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange opened at 17,778.90 with a gain of 132.90 points (0.75 per cent). In early trade, 1494 shares rose, 252 shares declined and 63 shares remained unchanged. The BSE 30-share Sensex fell 1,282.89 points or 2.13 per cent last week.
