What is the story of ‘Tanglan’?

‘Tanglan’ is the true story of the Kolar Gold Field i.e. KGF in Karnataka, which was dug for 121 years and many laborers shed blood and sweat to extract it. But after digging for 121 years, 800 tons of gold was taken out, but it never even got to see the people, thanks to whom it came out of the mines. This story is from the time when everyone from Tipu Sultan to Raja Chola tried unsuccessfully to extract gold from KGF and the British were also keeping a close watch. Then he/she chose Tanglan, who was a tribal, for this work. Tanglan was chosen because the tribal villages were adjacent to that KGF. These tribals used to dig the land in their own way and extract gold from it and sell it to support their families.
