New Delhi: Cyber ​​Commando, CFMS, Suspect Registry and Coordination Platform will become new weapons to prevent cyber crime and criminals in the country. This will not only prevent cyber crime by launching an all-round attack on cyber criminals, but will also speed up the process of catching cyber criminals. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched these four new systems on the first foundation day of I4C i.e. Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center, created to prevent cyber crime, organized at Vigyan Bhavan. This will make a big contribution in making the fight against cyber crime strong, robust and successful. I4C has so far saved people Rs 2900 crore from cyber criminals. More than eight lakh people have benefited from this. Five thousand cyber commandos will be prepared in five years.

‘Cyber ​​security is an important aspect of national security’

During this, the Union Home Minister said that today cyber security is not limited to the digital world only, but is also an important aspect of national security. he/she said that creating a suspect registry at the national level and connecting the states with it will help a lot in preventing cyber crime. he/she said that the Cyber ​​Fraud Mitigation Center (CFMC) created to deal with cyber crime will become a big weapon for preventing cyber crime in the coming times. he/she said that I4C was established in 2015 under the Safe Cyber ​​Space campaign on the initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. he/she said that development of any country is impossible without cyber security. While technology proves to be a blessing for human life, it is also creating many types of threats. Therefore, cyber security is no longer limited to the digital world, it has also become an important aspect of national security.

67 thousand calls come on cyber helpline daily

On this occasion, CEO of I4C Rajesh Kumar said that about 67 thousand calls are received every day on the national helpline number 1930 related to cyber crimes. I4C has so far saved Rs 2900 crore of people from falling into the hands of cyber criminals. Not only this, more than 12 lakh such fake bank accounts were identified and informed to the concerned banks. Through which cyber criminals were trying to cheat people and withdraw money. Apart from this, more than 60 thousand such internet content was blocked. Through which cyber criminals could cheat people. Officials said that the four systems which have been started from Tuesday to prevent cyber crime and criminals. It will have far-reaching big benefits. These are the four new systems.

1. CFMC
That is, the Cyber ​​Fraud Mitigation Center has been set up at the I4C headquarters in Delhi. It includes the country’s major banks, financial institutions, payment aggregators, telecom service providers, IT experts, law enforcement agencies of states and union territories. The benefit of this will be that all these units will coordinate with each other and take immediate action to deal with cases of online fraud. In which, on giving timely information on the helpline number-1930, the money transaction will be stopped first. After this, it will be easy to arrest the criminal and those helping him/her. In this, new modules will be identified and stopped using AI.

2. Coordination Platform
A platform called Joint Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Facility System has been created. It is a web-based module. It will act as a one stop portal for collecting cyber crime data, exchanging data between concerned agencies, creating crime scenario, studying data, as well as coordinating with law enforcement agencies of all states and union territories across the country.

3. Cyber ​​Commando
Cyber ​​commandos will play an important role in cyber crime. Especially in cases like cyber attack. Under this, a special unit of trained cyber commandos will be formed from all the states and CPOs of the country to combat cyber security threats across the country. Initially, six cyber commandos have been created for this. These include two women. The aim is to prepare five thousand cyber commandos in the country in the next five years. Who will be fully skilled in dealing with big cases of cyber attack and cyber crime.

4. Suspect Registry
Under this program, a suspect registry will be created at the national level. In this, the suspect registry will be shared with the states under a platform at the national level. In this, work will be done to strengthen risk management capabilities in collaboration with banks and all financial institutions. This work will be done in collaboration with the National Cyber ​​Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP). Through this, suspect registries are being created. Which will be helpful in identifying cyber fraud criminals and their modules. This will help in controlling cyber crime and criminals more strongly.

What will be the benefit of the new system?

The speed at which the country is becoming digital, there is a need to deal with cyber criminals at a faster pace. For this, these four new systems are being launched by I4C. This can prove to be a better way to curb cyber crime and criminals in the country. But along with this, there is also a need to make people aware. Because, until people are not aware, cyber criminals will continue to succeed in their plans. For this, the government will have to run awareness programs on a large scale to protect people from cyber crime. Only then will the purpose of this campaign be achieved.
