Now the Delhi High Court has sought a reply from NTA regarding the questions asked in NEET Exam 2024.

Objection to the question of Radioactivity in NEET

In fact, a NEET candidate has filed a petition in the court alleging that questions were asked ‘out of syllabus’ and there were mistakes in the exam. The petitioner says that a physics question asked on ‘radioactivity’ was not in the syllabus. Also, in another question, the wrong answer was considered correct.

The petitioner has also alleged ‘Manifest Error’ in respect of another question. The petitioner says that NTA has declared the ‘wrong option’ as the correct answer for that question.

The Delhi High Court has given two weeks’ time to NTA to respond. The petitioner said that although he/she has passed the exam, his/her rank has been adversely affected due to the mistakes of the National Testing Agency.

NTA will have to answer in two weeks

The petition filed through advocate Sameer Kumar said, ‘It is clear that irregularities in competitive examinations, especially where the examination is being conducted to prepare future doctors, need to be viewed with utmost seriousness. This irregularity not only promotes inequality by favoring the unqualified, but also harms those in whose hands the health of the people of the country will be in the coming years.’

The vacation bench of Justice Dharmesh Sharma has given two weeks’ time to the counsel of the Central Government, National Testing Agency and National Medical Commission to file their replies. The next hearing will be held on July 16.
