Therefore, along with vegetables, these are also brought in large quantities from the market. But keeping vegetables fresh in summer is not easy. Some people store vegetables in the fridge as soon as they bring them from the market. They think that the vegetables will remain fresh.

But coriander, mint and curry leaves start turning yellow and wither even when kept in the refrigerator. The freshness of these leaves starts losing prematurely, then the magic of taste and fragrance also starts disappearing. After washing the mint leaves, pat them gently with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. In fact, due to excess moisture, leaves can become sticky, which can also lead to mold. Keeping dry mint leaves in a paper towel can also keep them fresh for a long time. For this, place dry leaves on a paper towel and roll them gently. Apart from this, paper towel can also be placed in between the layer of leaves. Then keep them in a sealed plastic bag.

The cool temperature helps slow the process of drying and spoiling the mint leaves. So keep a sealed plastic bag of mint in the vegetable crisper drawer of the refrigerator. This will keep the leaves fresh for up to a week, but if you want to store them for longer, consider freezing the mint leaves. Spread the washed and dried leaves in a single layer on a baking sheet and place in the freezer until frozen solid. Then transfer the leaves to a sealed freezer bag or container and keep them in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Coriander leaves are very delicate and if not stored properly, they start withering quickly. Therefore, first of all sort out its bunch thoroughly. If it has yellow or black leaves, remove them. By doing this your coriander will not spoil very quickly. Trim the bottom ends of the cilantro stalks to remove any dry or damaged parts. Due to this, the stem absorbs water well, due to which the leaves remain hydrated and fresh.

Cut coriander bunches should be kept in a glass or jar filled with water. Then cover the leaves with a plastic bag and put a rubber band around the jar. Also, keep changing the water every two days to maintain freshness. If you don’t want to keep the coriander in water, you can wrap the bunches in a damp paper towel, then take a good plastic bag to seal them and place the coriander in it. To keep the leaves fresh for up to a week, place the bag in the vegetable crisper drawer of the refrigerator.
