Now controversy over Diljit Dosanjh’s Chandigarh concert, district administration sent notice, demanding action from HC


Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh had performed a concert in Chandigarh on 14 December, due to which his/her problems seem to be increasing. In fact, this case was heard in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday, 18 December. The district administration issued a show cause notice to the organizers regarding the December 14 concert. Also, the report in this matter has just been presented in the High Court. The district administration told the High Court that the noise level at the concert was found to be more than the prescribed limit. The administration also recommended that strict action should be taken against those who have committed violations. What is in the status report of Chandigarh Administration?

A report was presented in the High Court on behalf of the District (Chandigarh) Administration. According to this, during Diljit Dosanjh’s concert held on Saturday (December 14), noise levels were monitored at various locations, and it was observed that the noise levels were beyond the limits prescribed under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2000. was excessive. In view of this, action was immediately demanded under the Environment Protection Act 1986 and Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000.

Noise level detected more than 80dB

It is known that a petition was filed in the High Court to stop Diljit Dosanjh’s concert on December 14, but the court had allowed the concert. But it was also said that the prescribed noise limit should not be violated. The noise level at Diljit’s concert should not have gone above 75 dB, but it is being told that it had reached above 80dB. It was said from the court that if it is violated then action can be taken.

Three committees formed for investigation, notice sent

In the report of the district administration, it was told to the court that three committees were formed to investigate the noise level. he/she checked how much sound was there on the stage during Diljit Dosanjh’s concert. Its report was submitted on 17 December. The report revealed that the noise had reached more than 82dB, and after this a notice was sent to the organisers.

It is known that lawyer Akshay Bhan had appeared in the High Court on behalf of the organizers of the Diljit Dosanjh concert and Amit Manjhi had appeared in the High Court on behalf of the Chandigarh administration. Now this case will be heard on January 9.
