Now business class in Indigo… will start on Delhi-Mumbai route from 14th November

New Delhi: After the merger of Vistara Airlines with Air India, a new race is about to start in the aviation sector of the country. This is ‘business class run’. Starting from November 14, the country’s largest budget airline IndiGo is offering 12 business class seats on its Delhi-Mumbai route flights. Till now, the largest business class business in the country was with Air India and before the merger, Vistara. In which now IndiGo has jumped into the field to make a dent. This was announced by IndiGo MD Rahul Bhatia and CEO Peter Elbers on August 5, on the 18th anniversary of the airline. Now the time has come to implement this announcement. Which is starting from 14th November. With this, a new war will begin in the country to attract business class passengers to their respective flights. IndiGo had also announced that passengers in their business class will get world class comfortable seats and amenities. In which along with carrying extra luggage, the fare will also not be very high. Indigo has started business class travel on the Delhi-Mumbai route from Rs 18018. Whereas the business class fares of other airlines on this route are much higher than this.

Currently, IndiGo is starting with 12 business class seats in its 220-seat A-321 Neo aircraft. The remaining 208 seats will be economy. But in the coming time, Indigo plans to start providing business class service in its aircraft on all the business air routes of the country. Till now Indigo was known only for economy class. This will be the first time that IndiGo has tried its hand in business class also.

Passengers will get another big gift next year

On the Delhi-Mumbai route also, IndiGo will start providing business class service in all its aircraft by January next year. After this, there is a plan to start this service on the air routes of Bengaluru and Chennai by the end of March 2025. Indigo is planning to provide business class service in all the aircraft of its fleet till May 2026. Sources say that after the merger of Vistara with Air India, it will be a big challenge for IndiGo also. Because, Air India will be able to provide business class service to passengers with more aircraft than before.

Passengers will benefit

Till now, among the Indian airlines in the country, Air India and before the merger, Vistara had dominance in the business class. Now Indigo Airlines has also come into it. In such a situation, in the coming time, airlines can provide cheap tickets to the passengers for business class like economy class. There may or may not be something more to it, but it is certain that passengers are definitely benefiting from it. In which passengers can get more comfortable seats, delicious food and drinks of their choice, extra luggage and other facilities on board.
