Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Vijayanagar MLA M Krishnappa on Sunday inaugurated the new ‘Palika Bazaar’ built at a cost of Rs 13 crore, located next to the Vijayanagar Metro station and bus stand. This market is named after the 16th century Vijayanagara emperor Krishnadevaraya. It is spread over 1,365 square meters (136 meters long and 11 meters wide) and has a total of 79 shops.

Bengaluru’s new Palika Market sensor doors

​Glass sensor sliding doors have been used with granite flooring in the new Palika Bazaar in Bengaluru. Let us tell you, sensor doors are completely automatic and are used for frequent opening and closing. Strict security arrangements in the market

​All security arrangements have been made to avoid any kind of accident in the market. 79 market officers have been appointed here, and orders have been given to follow strict protocols for security. Along with this, there are 250 street lights and fire extinguishers and police have also been deployed for the safety of the people.
