November became the hottest after 123 years, temperature will remain above normal till February, know why winter is not coming

New Delhi: The month of December has started, but summer is still being felt in many states including the capital Delhi. The weather remained the same in the last month i.e. November also. After 123 years, the month of November was the hottest for the country. Even though the temperature dropped in the morning and evening, the maximum temperature remained around 30 degrees. This year, temperatures are expected to be above normal in most parts of the country from December to February.

People sweat in November

After the year 1901, November was the second hottest month for the country. The maximum temperature in November this year was 29.37. At the same time, the temperature in the capital Delhi was higher than normal in November. This time the month of November in Delhi was the hottest after 14 years. While people felt rosy coolness in the morning and evening, the strong sunlight during the day made people sweat.

Why is it hot?

Usually, cold starts from the month of November itself. By the time December comes, it starts getting extremely cold. But this year the weather patterns changed. In fact, it has not rained in Delhi since the departure of monsoon. The weather has remained dry since the beginning of September. Even though there is less rainfall in October, November and December, it definitely increases the cold.

The reason behind no rain is Western Disturbance. This year weak western disturbances are coming to the mountains. Due to this, there is no impact on North India including Delhi. Due to this, the onset of severe cold is being delayed.

icy winds are not coming from the mountains

The second reason is the cold winds coming from the mountains. But there have been no strong winds in Delhi since November. Generally after the month of October, icy winds come from the mountains towards North India. Due to which the temperature decreases rapidly and cold starts increasing. This year, icy winds and cold waves have not started yet.

When will the cold increase?

The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain normal in the first month of December. There is no possibility of any major change. The maximum temperature will be 27-28 degrees. That means there is no possibility of increase in cold in Delhi-NCR for next 8-10 days. People will have to wait for the severe cold. However, this year in most parts of the country the temperature will be above normal from December to February.
