Not only Kerala minister Veena George, these leaders have also accused the Modi government of stopping them from going abroad

New Delhi: The bodies of 46 Indian workers who died in a massive fire in an apartment in Kuwait have been brought back to India. Most of the bodies were from Kerala, which were brought back home on Friday. However, a controversy arose over the Centre’s refusal to grant political clearance to Kerala Health Minister Veena George to travel to Kuwait. Kerala Health Minister Veena George had said on Thursday night, “We had sought permission from the Central Government to go to Kuwait and stand with our people affected by the tragedy and coordinate activities there, which was not given.” The state government had decided to send George to Kuwait to help in relief operations, including treating the injured and bringing back the bodies of the deceased. George reportedly waited for hours at the airport in the hope of getting permission from the Ministry of External Affairs. This is not the first case. Let us know which other leaders have accused the Modi government of preventing them from going abroad before this.
