New Delhi: The first session of the eighteenth Lok Sabha will begin on Monday, June 24. The biggest question before the session begins is who will be the speaker of the Lok Sabha this time. BJP has not got an absolute majority this time and in such a situation, the importance of the parties included in the NDA has increased even more. The test of the NDA has also begun even before the session begins. Although no demand has been made openly for this post by the NDA allies, the opposition is constantly fueling this issue. Amidst all the questions, an important meeting is going to be held at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh this evening to discuss the names of the Lok Sabha Speaker (Speaker) and Deputy Speaker (Deputy Speaker).will the decision be made today
The first session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin on June 24. During this time, new members of the lower house will take oath and then the Lok Sabha Speaker will be elected on June 26. Senior BJP leaders will hold a meeting at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh here on Tuesday evening to discuss the names of candidates for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 18th Lok Sabha. Sources gave this information. They said that some constituent parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are also expected to attend the meeting.

BJP will not compromise on the post of Speaker
Even before the session begins, everyone’s eyes are on the Lok Sabha Speaker’s chair. The opposition is also making preparations from its side. BJP may have fallen short of the majority but it wants to retain the Speaker’s post in the 18th Lok Sabha. BJP has 240 MPs and it wants to retain the Speaker’s post. However, for this it will have to take NDA allies, especially TDP and JDU, into confidence. According to sources, BJP can offer the post of Deputy Speaker to an NDA ally.

Another meeting will be held at BJP headquarters

A separate meeting of the Maharashtra BJP core group will be held at the party headquarters this evening to discuss the party’s strategy for the assembly elections in Maharashtra later this year. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, party state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Ashish Shelar, MP Ashok Chavan, minister Girish Mahajan and other leaders are expected to attend the meeting, to be chaired by BJP president JP Nadda. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh are also expected to be present at the meeting.
