Not Gill-Hardik, Pakistan’s legend chose this player as the future captain of Team India

Former Pakistan batsman Basit Ali has given his/her opinion on Shubman Gill becoming the vice-captain. he/she said that no matter who becomes the vice-captain, only Rishabh Pant will become the next captain of Team India.

New Delhi. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is starting from 19 February. This will be the first time that Pakistan will host this tournament. However, India’s matches will be played in Dubai. For this tournament, Rohit Sharma has been made the captain and Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain. Everyone has different opinions on the appointment of Shubman Gill as the vice-captain of Team India. Former Pakistan batsman Basit Ali has also given his/her opinion on this and said that no matter who the vice-captain is, Rishabh Pant will become the next captain of Team India.

Basit Ali, while talking about the next captain of Team India, took the name of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant. he/she described Pant as Dhoni. he/she also said that no matter who becomes the vice-captain, only Rishabh Pant will become the captain. Rishabh Pant has been appointed the captain of Lucknow team in IPL, after which Basit Ali called him/her the future captain.

While talking on his/her YouTube channel, Basit Ali said, ‘Lucknow Super Giants made Rishabh Pant the captain. This is news for you guys, but not for me. It is normal for me because the day he/she held a press conference in the Sydney Test, we had said there that the second MS Dhoni has arrived. Who is the future captain? Rishabh Pant. Gill or anyone else should become the vice-captain, but only Rishabh Pant has to become the captain.

Basit Ali further said, ‘The advice given to him/her by God above. I feel that becoming captain will benefit him/her in batting as well. The way he/she hits casual shots now, but when he/she becomes the captain, he/she will play within his/her limits again.”
