New Delhi. The 17th match of the ICC T20 World Cup played between Australia and England has been recorded in history. This is the first time in the T20 World Cup when neither team scored a single half-century and the total runs scored were more than 350. Australia defeated England by 36 runs on the basis of useful innings of the top batsmen and disciplined performance of the bowlers. Australia batted first and scored 201 runs for the loss of 7 wickets which is the highest score of any team in the current World Cup so far. In response, England’s team could only score 165 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

In the T20 World Cup match played between Australia and England (AUS vs ENG) in Barbados, the highest score from both teams came from the bat of Jos Buttler. England captain Buttler hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in 28 balls. David Warner scored the most for Australia. 39 runs came from Warner’s bat. No player could score a half century in the match and the combined score of both teams was 366 runs. This has happened for the first time in the history of T20 World Cup.

327 runs were scored in the South Africa vs New Zealand match
Earlier in 2010, a total of 327 runs were scored in the match between South Africa and New Zealand. Even at that time, no player from either team could touch the 50 mark. Warner and Head put on a 70 run partnership
After being invited to bat first, David Warner (39) and Travis Head (34) gave Australia an aggressive start by adding 70 runs in the first 5 overs. After both of them returned to the pavilion within four runs, captain Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell took the responsibility. Marsh scored 35 runs in 25 balls which included two fours and as many sixes. Maxwell scored 28 runs in 25 balls with the help of three fours and a six. After this, Marcus Stoinis made a useful contribution by scoring 30 runs in 17 balls and Pat Cummins made an unbeaten 17 runs in 10 balls.

Butler and Salt added 73 runs for the first wicket
While chasing, Phil Salt and captain Jos Buttler added 54 runs in the power play. Both of them shared a 73-run partnership for the first wicket. England’s score was 92 for two wickets after 10 overs, but after that Australia bowled tight and their fielding was also excellent. Among England’s later batsmen, Moeen Ali (25), Harry Brook (20 not out) and Liam Livingstone (15) could not score runs as fast as expected.
