Not a job but a business… Indian students are defeating the whole world! New report will change common thinking

Students studying in Indian universities are now coming forward to start their own startups. An important thing has come to light in the study of IIT Mandi and Guess Global Research that 14% of Indian students want to become entrepreneurs after completing their graduation. Whereas the global average is 15.7%. This makes it clear that the youth in India are now showing great interest in starting their own business. For this, there is no holding back even in taking risks. In this study, the opinion of 13,896 students from universities across the country was taken. Out of which 14% want to innovate in different fields and provide employment to more and more people.

The world’s third largest start-up ecosystem

The Central Government has also implemented many schemes regarding start-ups and the youth are also benefiting from it. Dr. Puran Singh, Associate Professor, School of Management, IIT Mandi and Country Delegate of Guess India, who led this study, said that we are already the third largest startup ecosystem in the world. India also has the world’s largest youth population. Indian students are currently holding high positions in big companies in the country and abroad. Now the startups ecosystem in India too is reaching new heights.

Study report says that 31.4% of the student graduates here are in family business and are growing their business. This figure is much higher than the global average of 25.7%. New experiments regarding entrepreneurship are now being conducted in Indian universities. Students are being helped. Entrepreneur is a person who starts a new business.

Indians who left jobs in 5 years

The report states that about 69% of students look for employment after completing graduation. But in five years this figure reduces to 52.2%. During this period 31% students try to become entrepreneurs. Whereas during graduation studies this number is 14 percent. This means that after completing graduation, a large number of students are getting inspired to start their own business.
