Why will fine be imposed for changing lanes?
Noida Traffic Police has made a rule for fine for changing lanes at three places in Noida. The real reason for making rules is traffic jam. It is often seen that applying light brakes to change the lane of the vehicle starts a chain reaction. To avoid a collision, vehicles driving behind suddenly apply brakes, causing traffic to slow down or stop completely. Sudden lane changes also increase the risk of side sweep and rear-end collision.
Where will this fine be imposed

Traffic police in Noida will soon implement lane driving on three specific routes. These rules will be implemented at Charkha roundabout near Amity University, from Garden Galleria Mall to Film City and at the bird feeding place near Dalit Prerna Sthal. Its purpose is to deal with the traffic jam here. Sudden lane change during peak traffic hours creates traffic jams. It starts with one vehicle coming into another line.
This rule will be implemented on some other roads also

According to Noida Traffic Police, if this rule is successful at three places in Noida, then it can be implemented at other places also. There are two-three lanes on the expressway, the right lane is used for overtaking, the middle lane is for cars and the left lane is for heavy vehicles.
Fine will be Rs 1500

There is a problem of jam on three routes throughout the day, especially during peak timings. Noida Authority will make arrangements for changing lanes about 500 meters ahead, from where passengers will not need to break the lane to change lanes. Cameras will be installed to identify those who are violating the rules.
If anyone breaks the rule then you will have to pay a fine of Rs 1500. At present, there is a lot of crowd on the Noida Expressway at Charkha roundabout from Sectors 125, 126 and 128 and on the route from Amity University towards Kalindi Kunj, Sarita Vihar and Jamia Nagar. Implementation of the rule can help in getting rid of the problem of traffic jam.
