Kapil Dev said during an interview, “No one can replace Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in T20 cricket. Because no player can replace another player. he/she makes his/her own place. You see, has any player been able to replace MS Dhoni till date? Or has anyone been able to replace Sachin Tendulkar? No, right? That is why if any player comes into the team, he/she will make his/her own identity. We will hope that India gets a better player than them.

Kapil Dev was further asked which player he/she would like to see in the team in place of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Answering this question, the veteran said, “This is not my job, my job is to watch cricket. It is the job of the selectors to select whom or not. It will not look good if we come in between.”

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli announced their retirement from T20 International. This means that they will no longer play any T20 International match for the Indian team. However, Rohit also made it clear that he/she will be seen playing in the Indian Premier League. Currently, he/she is a part of the Mumbai Indians franchise team. At the same time, Virat Kohli will also be seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
