No more enemies in the sea! These three ‘Bahubali’ are joining Indian Navy, know their special features

New Delhi: Indian Navy’s strength at sea is going to increase further. Three state-of-the-art warships will be inducted into the Indian Navy on Wednesday. After their joining the Navy, the enemy will think ten times before looking at India with bad intentions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate INS Surat, INS Nilgiri and INS Waghshir to the nation at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. We are telling you the specialties of these three warships.

Specialty of INS Surat

INS Surat is the fourth and last ship of the P15B Guided Missile Destroyer Project. It is one of the largest and most modern destroyers in the world. It is equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and sensor systems. It can operate a variety of helicopters including Chetak, ALH, Sea King and the new MH-60R. Its network-centric capabilities make it even more powerful.

INS Nilgiri

INS Nilgiri is the first ship of the P17A stealth frigate project. It has been designed by the Warship Design Bureau of the Indian Navy. It has advanced features for improved survivability, seaworthiness and stealth. It represents the next generation of indigenous warships. It is equipped with advanced weapons and systems including eight BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles.

Specialty of INS Waghshir

INS Waghshir is the sixth and last submarine of the P75 Scorpene project. This reflects India’s growing strength in submarine construction. It has been constructed in collaboration with Naval Group of France. This submarine will significantly increase the strength of the Indian Navy.

PM Modi also gave information

Posting on Instagram, PM Modi said, ‘Tomorrow, January 15, is going to be a special day for our naval capabilities. The induction of three leading naval combat ships will strengthen our efforts to become a global leader in defense and strengthen our quest towards self-reliance.
